What to expect from Match Play
Developed by the International Tennis Federation (ITF), the ITF World Tennis Number (WTN) is a rating that provides a global standard for players in both singles and doubles with a scale of 40-1. WTN Match Play allows players to participate in matches that count towards their WTN without having to commit to a tournament. Players can be placed in groups based on their rating to promote an appropriate competitive level and positive sportsmanship through level-based play. Please note that WTN Match Play is offered in orange, green, and yellow ball programs, but orange ball does not count towards WTN.
COST: $20.00 - Please pay at the front desk or ask us to charge your account.

Genesis Lincoln Racquet Club is holding bi-monthly WTN Match Play Event. The goal is to get juniors playing matches with a lot of different players of equal or close abilities. These matches will be single short sets to 4 or 6. You will be guaranteed 3 matches at least in a 2-hour window.
These matches are great to get your WTN rating going. This is ultimately the number that USTA is using for seeding in their Junior tournaments. It's also being used by colleges and the ITA/ITF going forward.
TIME: Each Saturday times will vary in the afternoons. Usually at least a 2-5 hour timeframe with instructions based on level of play what timeframe to attend during the event.
