Unified Doubles teams pair partners with and without disabilities to compete.  The player with a disability is referred to as the athlete and the player without the disability is the unified partner.  Unified doubles teams will play matches against doubles teams of similar ability levels.  The Unified partner's role is to keep the rally going and to allow the athlete to play a match.
