Matches are on a one hour delay for Sunday morning, April 11th.

SITE

Myrtle Beach Tennis Center is located at 3302 Robert M. Grissom Parkway (please enter through bus entrance of high school). We are located behind Myrtle Beach High School and offer our visitors a 10 hard court facility with 8 lit courts. Our pro shop features a mens and womens bathrooms along with racquet stringing services from USRSA certified racquet technicians.

Warm Up Times and Courts

Warm up courts will be open at the main site (MBTC) at 8-8:45 am on Saturday. At our alternate site Midway Park (1910 South Kings Highway, located approximately 10-15 minutes from the main site)​​ there will be at least 2 courts available both Saturday and Sunday 8 am-6 pm.

DRAWS and START TIMES

All draws over 16 players will start on Friday at 5 pm or later.

Singles Tournament Format

A modified feed in Consolation draw format will be used in singles events.
 

Scoring Formats

• Main draw singles will play two sets (ad-scoring) with a 10-point match tiebreak in lieu of the third set. Consolation singles will play two sets (no ad scoring) with a 10-point tiebreak in lieu of the third set.
 

Seeding

Current National Standings will be used for seeding.

3-Minute Coaching Break

· In matches playing a match tiebreak in lieu of a third set there will be a 3-minute coaching break between the end of the second set and the match-deciding tiebreak.
· This 3-minute break is treated the same as the 2-minute set break between first and second sets, except that players may receive coaching on the court.
· Players may not leave the court. unless requesting a toilet break. The toilet break will be taken after the 3-minute coaching break. No coaching is allowed during the toilet break for either player.

TENNIS BALLS

Diadem Extra Duty tennis balls will be used for all age divisions.

In response to the COVID-19, we will be using Match Tennis App’s Virtual Tournament Desk technology to help facilitate CDC best practices.

FOOD

Coffee will be provided Saturday and Sunday morning between 8-9 am to all spectators. Bojangles will provide breakfast (8:30 am) and lunch (12 pm) on Saturday/Sunday to all spectators and players.

AWARDS

Trophies will be awarded to main draw champion and runner-up along with consolation finalists.

EVENT SHIRTS

A soft cotton tie dye event short sleeve will be given to each player
